About Us

Premax was founded in 2006 by Australian Specialist Sports Physiotherapist, Randall Cooper.

Randall noticed that the majority of people who provided massage and manual therapy used either oils which left both the practitioner and patient sticky and uncomfortable or every day creams such as sorborlene or moisturising cream, which did not have the durability to be effective massage creams. They required constant re-application and were uncomfortable for patients as they promote a rubbing sensation on the skin.

In the pursuit of the perfect tool for his work, Randall decided to see if he could create a range of new products which are non-greasy yet long-lasting and glided on the skin and therefore suitable for clinicians such as himself.

Premax started with two products, Premax Original and Premax Sport, and in 2007 Premax added a third cream to its range, Premax Essential. These Premax products quickly became the preferred massage medium of leading health practitioners in Australia, and are currently used by many professional sporting teams and leading clinics and salons.

In May 2009 Premax has added 2 further products to its range; Premax Arnica and Premax Lotion, and all the products other than the lotion are now available in two sizes, a 450g and 250g screw top jar.
